Progress continues to be made against the tick fire in Santa Clarita and is now at a 78% containment. Since the fire began on Tuesday, more than 4,600 acres have been destroyed. All the evacuation orders were lifted on Sunday night.

The conditions are expected to be very similar to the conditions that fueled the fire last week. Also, the Getty Fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. along the 405 freeway and it quickly burned more than 500 acres. Now about 10,000 structures are now under mandatory evacuation orders. More updates will continue to be in the news throughout the following week or so.
