“The ongoing pandemic has impacted my life greatly. In my last year of high school, I don’t think I’ll be able to have any senior events such as prom, or Grad-Nite which is very unfortunate. I wasn’t able to attend prom last year but I said, “There’s always next year,” but look at us now. On top of that, I have grandparents with one at the age of 95. Their life was already hard for them before the pandemic because my grandpa is handicapped. Therefore, because of all that’s going at the moment, we have to provide extra help for them by going grocery shopping and visiting almost every day. We also went to community churches because they provided free groceries which helped us out too. Most grocery stores are wiped out of stock for essentials because of mass purchases. Seeing all the impact of this pandemic is like something out of a movie. With the closing of stores and schools, ending of sports, and everyone being quarantined, it’s almost unreal. This event was very unexpected, and we don’t even know what’s next for us. All we gotta do is work together and hope for the best in order for us to get through this.”
