1st Week of January Scholarhips

Hello readers, I hope you all had a great winter break. It’s a new year, and there are still more scholarships out there.

  • There is the ACS Scholars Program. If you are a Latino, African American or American Indian senior interested in going to college studying Chemistry. They offer a $5000 based on you being a 3.0 student in financial need and be thinking of a career in Chemistry. The deadline is on March 1st.   • Scholarship for Flavor of the Month, if you can create a killer ice cream flavor you can win $1500.  The deadline is on July 31, 2019, so there’s plenty of time. Visit https://www.unigo.com/scholarships/our-scholarships/flavor-of-the-month-scholarship, for more details and to apply.
  • Changing things up a bit, there’s an internship you can apply for if you’re interested in the medical field or shadowing a doctor for students in 11th grade. Mentoring in Medicine & Science (MIMS) has just opened their applications for their summer programs. There is no minimum GPA requirement, and their deadline is on March 1st.  Go to https://www.mimscience.org/ and check out their programs.
