Humans Of Pinole Valley 2

Rose Figueroa, Staff Writer

“I feel really excited for college, but I’m also really anxious at the same time. I’ve been dreaming about college for so long now and it’s always on my mind, I’m ready to make it reality. I’m ready to discover what I’m passionate about and find my calling. I think I’m going to take an approach towards Writing and Journalism, I’ve been really interested in it lately.  I want to be able to go to third world countries and explore the actual world. There’s so much more to life than high school and I’m ready to take that on! I’m ready to meet new people with new experiences and new backgrounds. I’m just nervous that I won’t be successful. My biggest fear is failing or being stuck in the same stand point I’m at right now my whole life. I’m also nervous because my best friend might go to UC Riverside and being away from her really scares me, but I know if she gets in I will be really proud of her. I guess I will be more focused on my studies though rather than having fun with her though (laughs.) One of the saddest things about leaving this place is that I have to leave all the teachers behind. I really don’t want to have to say goodbye to them, they are some of the greatest things about PV.”
