The Perfect Holiday Recipe

The Holidays are here! Many of our holidays are centered around our families and friends… and of course the food. Cookies are amazing during this time of year. These cookies are some of the classics and they are not too hard to make. 

What you will need:

  1. Baking pan with cookie sheets (if you do not have any cookie sheets you can always just grease up the pan)

    Snowballs

    • 2 cups of all purpose flour
    • 2 cups of pecans (finely chopped)
    • 1 cup of unsalted room temperature butter
    • 5 tablespoons of sugar
    • ¼ teaspoon of salt
    • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
    • 1 ½ cups of confectioners sugar

    Instructions:

    1. Using an electric mixer or a regular whisk cream together the butter and the sugar.Continue by beating in the vanilla and salt
    2. Gradually add in the flour and begin to stir in the nuts.
    3. Divide dough in half and cover it. Refrigerate it for about 45 minutes.
    4. Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
    5. After 45 minutes begin to make the dough into balls and separate them by 1 ½ inches.
    6. Bake in oven until cookies are getting brown for about 14 minutes. (cool cookies for 5 minutes after they are done)
    7. While cookies are warm, roll them in the confectioners sugar. Let them cool and re roll them in the sugar again.

Snow-Cap Cookies

 

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup Baking Cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup of butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Of Snow caps from nestle (10 oz package)

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
  3. Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time. Beat the eggs well each time you put one in! Gradually beat in flour mixture after.
  4. Mix in 1 cup of Snow Caps.
  5. Bake for 9-11 minutes. After done leave the cookies on the baking sheet or pan for about 2 minutes.
