Mario Kart Tour Review
Despite too many in-game purchases, Mark Kart Tour earns a strong recommendation and 4.9 stars.
On September 25, 2019, Nintendo has released Mario Kart Tour, the 3rd installment of their IOS and Android Mario character game franchise. This game came out almost three years after Mario Run.
So far, Mario Kart Tour has 20 million users with 4.8 stars. Mario Kart is a game that consists of characters racing, particularly characters in the Super Mario universe. The Mario Kart series first started in 1992 with the game Super Mario Kart Tour.
The tracks are old DS Gamecube, Wii, and Gameboy tracks. There are also new tracks like the city tours that rotate every two weeks.
There are a lot of in-game offers. This is including the monthly subscriptions. The game is free but the in-game offers are just too high. Ryan Tomas, a PVHS junior, he said, “No, I’m not paying $5.00 a month to get 200cc.”
I’d give it 4.9 stars because it has impressive graphics for a mobile game. It runs smoothly at the start of the game but it kept crashing. It doesn’t crash as often as it used to, but it still has minor problems that an average user could get over. It is a free game and has multiplayer. The good thing is that it’s only taking 192.7 MB.
Many PVHS students love the game. Maralya Mendoza, a junior, said, “I’ll give (the game) a 9 because I like it a lot!”
- Gold Pass: $4.99
Overall, the game is good and I’ve been playing for about a week now. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new. It is not like the average racing games you find on the App Store or Playstore such as Asphalt 8: Airborne.

Who would have thought a Mario game would have such scummy microtransactions.
