Every year, an annual Sports Rally is held at Pinole Valley High School to celebrate all of the sports victories and to show appreciation to all of the student-athletes. Pinole Valley High School’s first sports rally of 2020 took place this past Friday in the gym.

Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors were all welcome to watch this rally. 

First, they were greeted by the Pinole Valley High School band, who played some tunes, including ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ by Queen. 

Then, multiple dance performances ensued and they were all great! The various coaches of the Spartan athletes, such as coach BJ, coach O’Shea, and coach Dani were also congratulated and many Spartan athletes of the 2019-2020 sports season were commemorated in the form of honorable mentions. 

Those Spartan athletes include:

• Girls Basketball 
• Boys Basketball

Following the honorable mentions of the 2019-2020 sports season, the relay races commenced! Lastly, the class chants, along with the last dance performance and final relay race that concluded the rally. I would say the sophomore and junior class chants were the best, a close tie even. The seniors were okay.
