On the 30th of October, we will be celebrating “Dia de Los Muertos” here at Pinole Valley in the cafeteria after school.

There will be a contest where you can enter to win a prize. In the contest you can write an essay about your loved one. The essay has to be up to 300-500 words. You can also submit an original art piece or a photo with a small caption. Another thing you can do is an original poem up to a few sentences. The deadline for this contest will be before the 28th of October.

There will be many festivities like an altar where you can bring a photo of your loved one. There will be free face paintings, Mexican hot chocolate and pan dulce, and the culinary club will try to make pozole. There will also have activities in the library were you can go to.  The choir will also be performing. This event is to celebrate our loved ones.
