Hello Spartans! Here are this week’s Scholarships:

  • First, we have the Aviation Scholarship, for high school juniors and seniors interested in taking flight, two awards are available, one for $5000 and the other for $20,000.  Apply by October 11 and get wings!
  • Next is the National Society of High School Scholars honoring a high school senior with a GPA of 3.0 or better with a desire to major in college in science, technology, engineering or math, it’s a $1000 prize and you need to turn in the standard resume, transcript, recommendation, STEM activities list, personal statement and for a new twist, a color photo.  Get posing seniors.
  •  Then it is Barbara Littlefield Scholarship for singers.  If you are 17 years of age and able to handle a 15-minute audition covering two different musical periods, then you may be a winner.  Details in the front office.
  • Lastly, The National Press Club Scholarship offers a cash prize to a high school journalist, a one-year gratuity and a book allowance too.  We have this kind of talent, and you’ve got an early spring deadline. Info in the front office
