Listen up South Park fans, because I have got some news for you! South Park is renewed for season 26!!! South Park is an adult animated sitcom started by Trey Parker and Matt Stone in 1997. The show has been going on for nearly 20 years and it even has 9 games and a movie. 

South Park is one of the most popular and long-running animated adult comedy shows like Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, and even Rick and Morty. This show’s fanbase is really big and gets bigger every day.  Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the main writers of the show and even voice act most of the boy cast.

The show is about 4 kids named Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny and their wacky town filled with weird characters. Each episode is mostly focused on the main characters but sometimes the other characters get time to shine. The show makes fun of sensitive topics such as politics, religion, global warming, homosexuality, drugs, and even makes fun of celebrities. I wouldn’t recommend watching if you’re too sensitive or if any of these things trigger you.

After season 20 there were some theories that it was gonna be cancelled because people slowly fell off of it and even had a hashtag going around to “put South Park out of its misery and just hurry up and cancel it”, even Trey Parker and Matt Stone made a joke about it, but it was confirmed that they are not ending anytime soon, “We haven’t put an end date on it, and neither has our audience.” they also said: “As long as they’re still engaged and interested and bring such vitality to it, we’re all game.” 

South Park season 23 starts on September 25 at 10 pm, so I hope all my PVHS south park fans enjoy!
