The Day On The Green took place on Saturday, May 11th at Fernandez Park. Juicy hamburgers and hotdogs were barbequed and sold by the leadership class from Pinole Valley High School so everyone could enjoy local food while enjoying local talent. People were welcomed to watch Pinole Valley High School students show off their amazing talents. There were a wide variety of performances such as the Pinole Valley High School band, Polynesian Club, GSA club (gay-straight alliance), and choir! Each and every performance was outstanding and it made me feel very proud to be a part of Pinole. To get the people involved, there was a hula-hoop contest, you are reading the words of the winner! It was so much fun to bring back a bit of our childhoods with some hula-hooping!

Day on the Green made it prevalent that our community is something so special in so many ways. Be sure to appreciate our amazing town because it deserves every bit of appreciation.
