1st Week of March Scholarships

Hello Spartans, and other readers. This week’s scholarships have a religious theme, and there are quite a couple of them. If a scholarship catches your eye, don’t hesitate to apply.
- There is the Amish descendant scholarship, for those with an Amish upbringing and deciding to pursue higher education. The deadline is August 25th. Visit the website to apply.
- The Italian Catholic Federation award. If you are a Californian, and an Italian descended Catholic with a 3.2 or better GPA, you could be $1,000 richer. Visit the website apply.
- There is the Jewish Family and Children’s Services award. If you are of the faith and have a 3.0 GPA. There are a couple of opportunities, which I’m sure will be easy to sort out.
- The Avicenna Scholars program designed for all juniors who are Muslim, come by class of 2020 and celebrate your faith. Visit the link if you qualify and are interested.
- There is the Loyola University Zolp Scholarship if you are a Catholic and you have the last name Zolp you can get it. Check it out if you qualify.
- And finally, there is the Tomas family is offering a $500 scholarship to a senior who is not going straight to college, but first to career, there is an application for that. Check out their website if you’re interested.
