Aiding Concentration:

Finals are coming up this week on January 16th and 17th. Finals are your chance to finish off the quarter and semester strong. Testing 100 minutes in every class requires lots of concentration. That’s why you should help aid your brain so you can focus and do your best by adding extra nutrition to your diet. Here are foods that can help build and develop better concentration:

Blueberries:

Blueberries

These berries are scientifically proven to help boost concentration and memory. This effect lasts about 5 hours. This is because blueberries form antioxidants that increase the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain.

  • Green Tea:

This tea helps you focus because of its caffeine and l’theanine working together in order to process just the right amount of caffeine around your body at a slow pace.

  • Avocados:
    Avocados

Avocado has a lot of potassium which helps control blood pressure. This promotes brain health.

  • Nuts:
    Walnuts

Your brain consists of fat. Nuts such as walnuts have high concentrations of DHA, a type of Omega-3 fatty acid that helps support your brain.

  • Leafy Green Vegetables:
    Spinach

Greens such as spinach and arugula help save your memory, making it easier for you to understand things you read.

  • Fatty Fish:
    Baked Salmon

Salmon is another source of DHA which is the good kind of fat for your brain.

  • Water:

Believe it or not, your brain and heart are composed of 73% water. That is why you should help aid your brain by getting well hydrated.
